I am so excited to be welcoming Dr. Zahra Nasr to our practice. Some of you may have already met Zahra as she has spent time helping us out in the practice over the past three years. Dr. Zahra will be coming on board from this week and increasing her hours over the next few weeks to help look after you in the clinic, whilst Dr. Sheena is on maternity leave.
Dr. Zahra is a skilled and passionate doctor of Chinese medicine, who has a particular focus on fertility, women’s health, pain management and facial rejuvenation acupuncture. You can also check out all our other team members here.
Zahra graduated from RMIT (1st class honors) with a Bachelor of Human Biology and Bachelor of Chinese Medicine. After successfully completing a 1-year internship at the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital in China, she returned to Melbourne to begin her career as a Chinese medicine doctor.
Dr Zahra takes a holistic approach to fertility, understanding that couples need to look into not just their reproductive ability, but their stress levels, diet, sleep, mood and hormones to have the best chance possible at natural conception. Dr Zahra also loves assisting couples going through IVF fertility cycles in Melbourne, giving natural health support through this process.
In addition, Dr. Zahra is skilled in cosmetic acupuncture, having spent several years assisting in facial rejuvenation acupuncture sessions at Qi Medicine. Having received direct training from Dr. Sheena, Dr. Zahra is experienced in a range of cosmetic problems that may be helped with complementary medicine.
Aside from being a great therapist, Zahra is an immensely warm, compassionate and friendly woman. In her spare time, she loves traveling, spending quality time with family and looking after her beloved husky, Frankie. We are so lucky to have such a skilled practitioner coming on board, and she looks forward to working with you all soon!
